The Eurasian Jay (Garrulus glandarius) well known for its mimicry, often sounding so like a different species that it is virtually impossible to distinguish its true identity unless the Jay is seen. It will even imitate the sound of the bird it is attacking.
I have heard them meowing like cats. As I thought it was a cat, I was surprised to see a jay trying to reach some food.
They are so shy and extremely difficult to capture. Each one of your slightest move makes them fly away...
